"It was a scary time". An amputee due to osteosarcoma, Emily has remained a conqueror of cancer since childhood. Last year, after battling cancer all these years, she was having symptoms again and had to have scans. It was also during this time of uncertainty that she saw herself falling in love with a guy named Adam.
Adam, who is a physician's assistant, and Emily both see cancer as a mixed blessing. It is what would lead them to meet at sunshine kids camp, where they both served as volunteers. While Emily was going through her scans, Adam was there. "He was there to listen, to hold my hand, to hold me when I broke down. He truly cared about me". It was during these moments that they realized they could never imagine a life apart from one another. Every challenge and every victory was now theirs to share together.
On a warm and sunny day at the historical Galveston Railroad Museum, Emily & Adam invited their family and friends to celebrate their wedding and vows to each other. It was a day of love, vintage trains, and of course some Mexican food! Watching my dear friend Emily walk down the aisle to a great guy who cares for her more than the world, almost made me foggy behind the lens. I also promise I'm not tearing up now..
Adam + Emily, thank you for the honor of documenting your wedding day. Together, you make us want to love and care like you do. Much love, Kelly
T for Turner! Adam tracked down a custom jeweler in Israel to make this gorgeous wedding band for Emily. He knew exactly what he wanted. He then hand picked the diamond in Houston, TX where they will be living! Talk about beautiful... *insert heart eyes emoji*
Emily's bridesmaids, a couple of dear friends and family members, were so excited to see her in her gown! It fit and looked like it was made just for her!
Beautiful decor and a curious ring bearer!
How men warm up for a wedding......
While the sun set in Galveston, the vintage trains served as the perfect backdrop for wedding photos.
The awesome wedding party!
The happy couple enjoyed the night full of train rides, drinks, an Aggie fight song, and dancing with friends!
The perfect night was made more perfect by a graceful exit complete with bubbles!
